grow business, increasing sales

Nothing brings more fulfilment than knowing your products are in constant demand. Drumming up sales consistently can be quite challenging especially for a start-up or small business enterprise, keeping a steady flow of sales coming in is also a bit of hard work, but no worries,  if you are having challenges with sealing deals, here is a list of things you can do on how to enhance increasing sales.

Aggressive marketing: when it comes to marketing, you have to be ready to give it all it takes. “Maybe” is not a good place to be, it leaves you unsure if the customer will ever buy and the customer is also left undecided about buying or not. What you need to do is push for a decision, asking questions that will help them reach a conclusion and decide on what to buy is the best way to go about it. Instead of asking “are you buying” ask them “should i pack these up for you” or “what payment method would you prefer”, this is you helping them decide and sealing the deal. Find a way to always serve and provide solutions.

Do giveaways: everyone loves free stuff, and the more you give away for free, the more favourably prospective customers that are willing to buy are likely to perceive you and your brand which can result in more online sales. You can have an audit and decide what you can give away that will not financially drain the company. You can offer free trials, a price slash, two for the price of one, free samplers, free delivery, a gift on every purchase, and many other ideas. Whatever form of giveaway you decide to run with, ensure it is well-structured and would make more people aware of your business.

Tell your story visually: visuals give your business more credibility. Things like videos and pictures will give your prospects a better understanding of how your business can help them. By using quality product images, you create a gap that can create a feeling of urgency that your potential client will respond to and this will help you close the deal. Content is key when marketing your products, so as much as you invest in good visuals, ensure you deliver compelling stories and creating great content. The emotions you put into your content and marketing can be felt by your clients and this just might be the little push they need to buy from you.

Understand what motivates your customers to buy: invest time into understanding what motivates your customers (old and new). Take time to know their needs, worries and reservations, by taking an interest in them in this manner, you get to serve them, and when you do this, you can in turn be served. As you learn more about each customer and take time to serve and deliver answers to their needs, you take them further down the path of your business and have a higher chance of retaining them for a long time.

Deliver a good customer experience: one of the fastest ways to increasing sales and retain customers is to have a good customer relationship with your clients. From the moment a potential customer makes an inquiry about your services to the point where the transaction is sealed, ensure it’s a smooth and easy process. The little things really count and can determine the outcome of any business dealings. Respond to messages on time and in a friendly yet professional manner, suggest ideas and give satisfactory answers to all questions. Make the entire process seamless and enjoyable, this is sure to help you seal the deal and retain the client.

In conclusion, when delivering great service to customers, don’t think of it as a short-term transaction but has a long-term investment. It is important to ask your customers for feedback, asides getting honest opinions and working on them to do better, you also give your clients the feeling of importance where they know that their opinion counts. Always ensure to over-deliver, this does not mean you have to indulge in a grand gesture, it could be delivering on time, attaching a personalized note to your products upon delivery, just something that will make the client always remember you and it will also make you stand out from other brands.
